SoftwareProducts

[ONLINE]® CONSTRAINED MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROLLER.
This software is meant for constrained model predictive control of continuous processes. It enables the user to achieve constrained optimization of their process unit. Economic objectives such as throughput maximization, energy minimization, improving the yield of more valuable products, can be specified. The software utilizes a user-specified dynamic process model in conjunction with a constrained optimization algorithm to achieve the desired objectives. The user is required to conduct proper experimental tests on the process unit under scrutiny to develop the process model. [ONLINE]® is a PC-based package that can handle a maximum of 10 outputs, 6 manipulated variables, and 4 measured loads. Communication drivers for Intellution®, Wonderware®, and other DDE-compliant PC-based data acquisition and control software packages are available. Users must acquire communication drivers for other DCS systems from the vendors directly.

[CMPC]™ CONSTRAINED MODEL PREDICTIVE CONTROL.
This software is functionally similar to [ONLINE]® but it is meant for off-line simulation of a constrained model predictive control problem. The user will find it useful in assessing the potential benefits of CMPC on the selected application. If the performance reveals sufficient economic payback, then, experimental application can be considered. The software requires a dynamic step response model which the user is expected to supply.

[BatchOptC]® BATCH-TO-BATCH OPTIMIZATION SOFTWARE.
This PC-based software is for batch-to-batch optimization. It can handle 30 inputs and 30 outputs. The user provides SAC, Inc., the input-output data from a well-designed experiment. SAC analyzes the data and develops a suitable model by artificial intelligence techniques. The software is supplied along with the model parameters to enable the user to achieve batch-to-batch optimization. The software can be used to improve quality control so as to produce more consistent products from one batch to the next. Several other types of economic objectives can also be specified where appropriate. Communication drivers for Intellution®, Wonderware®, and other DDE-compliant PC-based data acquisition and control software packages are available.
